Located in the Bağbaşı neighborhood, the museum covers an area of ​​15,000 m2 and houses approximately 9,500 artifacts in its inventory. The museum displays fossils dating back 8 million years, artifacts illustrating Kırşehir's life cycle, and examples of its architectural heritage. It features artifacts from the Early Bronze Age, Hittite, Phrygian, Roman, Anatolian Seljuk, and Ottoman periods, as well as exhibits related to Kırşehir's trade culture, Ahi Evran-ı Veli (the founder of the guild), Kırşehir's culinary culture, traces of religious beliefs, weaving, clothing culture, and daily life. It also includes exhibits about Neşet Ertaş, the last legend of the Abdal culture, who was recognized as a "Living Human Treasure" by UNESCO in 2010, and his father, Muharrem Ertaş.
